Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3 cups rolled oats Use gluten-free oats if needed.
  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder Choose your favorite flavor or opt for unflavored.
  • 1 cup natural peanut butter Almond or cashew butter can also work well.
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup Honey can be used in place, but it will alter texture slightly.

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and protein powder. Stir until well combined.
  2. Add in the peanut butter and maple syrup; mix thoroughly until everything is incorporated.
  3. If you like, fold through your mix-ins of choice, such as chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits.
  4. Lightly wet your hands (or spray them with cooking spray) to prevent sticking.
  5. Form 20-24 small balls of dough from the mixture.
  6. Place the balls on a plate or parchment paper and refrigerate until firm.

Notes

Store protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. They can be frozen for up to three months. Use parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking.
