Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F and lightly grease the basket with cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create the seasoning mix.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and evenly rub the seasoning onto the chicken.
Cooking
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Use tongs to carefully flip the chicken breasts over and cook for an additional 4 to 5 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and top generously with BBQ sauce.
- Return the chicken to the air fryer and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Serving
- Allow the chicken breasts to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For best results, always preheat the air fryer and check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Leftover BBQ chicken can be used in wraps, salads, or sandwiches for added convenience.
