Ingredients

Chicken Thighs
  • 4 pieces bone-in chicken thighs Choose bone-in for a richer flavor, or use 6-8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs for quicker cooking.
Seasonings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Can substitute with avocado oil for a different flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Try smoked paprika for extra depth.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Adjust quantity if using fresh oregano.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used but requires adjusting the cooking time.
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder Fresh finely chopped onion can be substituted.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Reduce if watching sodium intake.
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper Increase for more heat.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400° F for 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.
  3. Rub the chicken thighs with olive oil until well coated.
  4. In a small bowl, combine paprika, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well, then rub the seasoning blend evenly over the chicken thighs.
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin side down.
  2. Cook the chicken thighs at 400° F for 12 minutes.
  3. Flip them over and continue cooking for an additional 7-12 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165° F.
  4. For boneless, skinless thighs, no need to flip—just cook for 11-15 minutes total, depending on their size.

Notes

Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
