Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces Russet/Idaho potatoes Thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For coating
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper To taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice the potatoes into very thin slices, about 1/8-inch thick, using a mandoline slicer for quicker results.
  2. Submerge the sliced potatoes in a large bowl filled with cold water to rinse and remove excess starch.
  3. Dry the onion slices thoroughly using paper towels or clean kitchen towels.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper, tossing to ensure even coating.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Arrange the potato slices in an even layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overlap.
  3. Cook for 20 minutes, tossing the chips every 5 to 7 minutes for even cooking.
  4. Once some chips are crispy, remove them and continue cooking the remaining chips.
  5. If using two large potatoes, you may need to repeat the cooking process in 2-3 batches.
Serving
  1. Serve the potato chips warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. They can be re-crisped in the air fryer.
