Ingredients

For the Steak Bites
  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye) Sirloin is lean and flavorful; ribeye provides a bit more richness.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Can substitute with avocado oil for a higher smoke point.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh minced garlic works if you prefer boldness.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder You can also use shallots for a deeper flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Feel free to use sea salt or fresh cracked pepper for an upgrade.
For the Gnocchi
  • 1 pound gnocchi You can also use fresh pasta or rice noodles for a gluten-free twist.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Olive oil can be used as a lighter alternative.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Basil or chives can be lovely substitutes.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine steak pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss gently to coat each piece evenly.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned steak bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway to ensure even cooking.
  2. While the steak cooks, prepare the gnocchi according to package instructions until they float to the top, then drain.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the drained gnocchi and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Once the steak bites are cooked, add them to the skillet with the gnocchi and toss to combine.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Make sure your steak is cut into uniform bite-sized pieces for more consistent cooking results. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 4-5 minutes to revive that crispy texture. Can be frozen separately; consume within three months.
