Ingredients

Main Ingredient
  • 1 pound boneless turkey breast Choose fresh for optimal taste.
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds depth and aroma.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Enhances the savory profile.
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika Substitute with sweet paprika for milder flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Brightens the dish with herby notes.
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme Brings a warm, earthy taste.
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt Crucial for flavor; can be swapped with sea salt.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper For a touch of heat.
  • 2 teaspoons avocado oil Helps blend the spices with the turkey; olive oil lends a different yet complementary flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. While it warms up, pull the turkey breast from the fridge, allowing it to reach room temperature (about 40 minutes).
  2. In a bowl, mix together all the seasonings with avocado oil to create a seasoned oil mixture.
  3. Rub the seasoned oil mixture generously over the turkey breast, ensuring it’s coated on all sides.
Cooking
  1. Carefully place the turkey in the preheated air fryer basket.
  2. Cook for about 30 minutes, flipping the turkey breast every 10 minutes. Keep an eye on the internal temperature, which needs to reach 165°F.
  3. Once cooked, allow the turkey to rest for a few minutes before slicing to lock in the juices.

Notes

Ensure your air fryer basket isn't overcrowded for even cooking. Experiment with different spice mixes for a personal touch. Leftover turkey can be used for quick sandwiches or salads.
