  • 3 cups cooked chicken (shredded or chopped) A protein source; can be substituted with rotisserie chicken for quicker prep.
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning Enhances flavor; can use fresh herbs for a more vibrant taste.
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese Melts beautifully; try reduced-fat option for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Adds a salty kick; nutritional yeast can be used for a vegan-friendly substitute.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread ⅓ of the Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cooked chicken and half of the Italian seasoning over the ravioli.
  5. Pour another ⅓ of the Alfredo sauce over the chicken layer.
  6. Add the remaining frozen ravioli and the rest of the chicken, sprinkling the remaining Italian seasoning on top.
  7. Pour the last ⅓ of the Alfredo sauce over the top and cover with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Baking
  1. Cover the casserole with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Notes

For best results, avoid preheating the oven and overcrowding layers. Prepare casserole a day in advance and refrigerate until baking. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
