- Add ingredients to slow cooker. Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker and stir thoroughly.

- Thicken if desired. If you prefer a thicker consistency, continue cooking for an additional 30 minutes.
- Cool down. Transfer the hot apple butter into a shallow glass casserole dish and let it cool on the counter for one hour.
- Chill. After stirring, place it in the freezer for 30 minutes to cool completely.
- Store properly. Once cooled, transfer the apple butter into an airtight container and keep it chilled until ready to use.
Notes
Use high-quality, unsweetened applesauce for the best results. Consider adding vanilla extract or a splash of apple cider for enhanced flavor. Monitor cooking times and stir regularly to prevent burning.
