  5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper, stirring to combine all flavors.
  7. Toss in the cooked penne pasta, mixing thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
  8. Stir in shredded asiago cheese until melted and evenly distributed throughout the dish.
  9. Mix in minced fresh basil, adjusting seasoning if necessary, then serve immediately.
