Preparation
- Fill a large bowl with ice and cold water to prepare an ice bath.
- In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Add the green beans to boiling water and cook for 3-4 minutes until bright green but still crisp.
- Drain the green beans and immediately submerge them in the ice bath to stop the cooking process.
- Once cool, drain the beans and place them in a large bowl.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, sesame oil, grated fresh ginger, garlic powder, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Pour the marinade over the green beans and mix well to coat.
Serving
- You can serve the salad immediately or let it marinate for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor.
Notes
For best flavor, prepare a few hours ahead and allow it to marinate. Adjust crushed red pepper flakes according to your taste. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
