- Wash the cherry tomatoes in a colander under cool water.
- Slice the cherry tomatoes in half and set them aside in a large mixing bowl.
- Peel and pit the avocados, then dice them into bite-sized pieces and gently add them to the bowl.
- Thinly slice the red onion and chop the cilantro, adding both to the mixing bowl.
- Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice over the ingredients in the bowl.
Mixing
- Carefully toss the ingredients together, avoiding mashing the avocado.
- Season with salt and pepper according to taste. If using olive oil, drizzle a small amount before the final toss.
Serving
- Transfer the salad to a serving bowl or keep it in the mixing bowl.
- Garnish with extra cilantro or lime wedges if desired.
- Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
Notes
Use ripe avocados for the best flavor. Avoid using overripe avocados and ensure to season adequately. Prep just before serving for fresh taste.
