Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Use thighs for added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar The star of the show; consider flavored balsamics for variety.
  • 1/4 cup olive oil Avocado oil works as a substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons honey For a vegan option, substitute with maple syrup.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Garlic powder can be used instead if needed.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Experiment with flavored salts.
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or basil) for garnish Dried herbs can also be used.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  3. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

To enhance flavor, let the chicken rest after grilling for juicier results. This dish pairs well with seasonal vegetables or salads and is excellent for meal prep.
