Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana, oats, protein powder, almond milk, vanilla extract, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix well until smooth.
- If using, gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Fill each mold of the prepared donut pan about 3/4 full with the batter.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before carefully removing the donuts from the pan.
Notes
To avoid common mistakes, mix until just combined for a lighter texture, and aim for 3/4 full in the molds for appropriate rise. Use ripe bananas for optimal sweetness.
