Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana, oats, protein powder, almond milk, vanilla extract, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix well until smooth.
  3. If using, gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Fill each mold of the prepared donut pan about 3/4 full with the batter.
  5. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes before carefully removing the donuts from the pan.

Notes

To avoid common mistakes, mix until just combined for a lighter texture, and aim for 3/4 full in the molds for appropriate rise. Use ripe bananas for optimal sweetness.
