Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until they are soft, about 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the beef and mushrooms, stirring to combine and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Gradually stir in the beef broth, then add the sour cream and Dijon mustard, stirring until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy, about 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve over cooked pasta or egg noodles.

Notes

Mistakes to Avoid: Use tender cuts of beef for better texture, avoid overcooking the sauce, and do not skip the flour step. Prep ahead by chopping veggies and beef in advance. For extra flavor, add Worcestershire sauce.
