  3. Cook the brown rice according to package instructions.
  4. Chop the tomatoes, bell peppers, and red onion into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Dice the avocado just before serving to maintain freshness.
  6. Chop the cilantro finely for garnish.
Cooking
  1. In a medium pot, combine the rinsed black beans and cooked brown rice.
  2. Heat gently over medium to warm through, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add lime juice and stir to combine, ensuring even flavor distribution.

  1. In a large serving bowl, layer the black bean and rice mixture with chopped tomatoes, bell peppers, and diced red onion.
