Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a baking dish by greasing it with butter.
  3. Wash the blackberries and remove any stems or impurities.
  4. Combine sugar and blackberries in a large bowl, mixing gently to coat the berries.
Cooking
  1. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add melted butter and milk to the flour mixture, stirring until just combined.
  3. Pour the blackberry mixture into the greased baking dish.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the blackberries, covering them as evenly as possible.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30–35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serving
  1. Once baked, remove the cobbler from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  2. Serve warm, optionally topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
