Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment or foil.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl, mix brown sugar and melted butter. Whisk in egg and vanilla until thick.
- Stir in dry ingredients until almost combined.
- Fold in 3/4 cup mix-ins; spread batter in pan and press remaining mix-ins on top.
- Bake 32–36 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan, then cut into squares.
Notes
For optimal freshness, store blondies in an airtight container. Can be frozen for up to three months.
