  • 3 large eggs Binds the mixture; use flax eggs for a vegan alternative.
Additional Ingredients
  • 1 tub frosting (blue or vanilla flavor) Adds sweetness and moisture; homemade gives a personal touch.
  • 1 package candy melts (blue or white) Perfect for coating; chocolate melts can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 package cake pop sticks Essential for structure and serving.
  • optional sprinkles For decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix box instructions and prepare a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the blue cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake as per the instructions on the cake mix box.
  4. Once baked, let the cake cool completely.
  5. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl and mix in the frosting until well combined.
  6. Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Freeze the cake balls for at least 30 minutes.
Coating
  1. Melt the candy melts in a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Dip the end of each cake pop stick into the melted candy melts and insert it into each cake ball.
  3. Dip each cake pop in the melted candy melts, coating completely.
  4. Decorate with sprinkles if desired and let them harden.

Notes

Ensure to let the cake cool completely before crumbling, and avoid over-melting the candy melts. You can freeze the pops individually wrapped for up to three months.
