  • 4 pieces Brioche-Style Burger Buns Substitute with whole wheat or gluten-free buns if preferred.
  • 1 medium Red Onion Soak in cold water to mellow flavor or use shallots.
  • 1/2 cup Feta Cheese Can be substituted with goat cheese or omitted for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 cups Fresh Arugula Spinach or mixed greens are good alternatives.
  • 1 cup Blueberries The star of the show, bursting with sweetness; raspberries can also work.
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar Honey or maple syrup are good substitutes.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Lime juice is a good alternative.
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch Arrowroot powder can be used instead.
  • 2 medium Fresh Jalapeños Adjust heat level or use mild peppers.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Leaves Can substitute with parsley or cilantro.
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Any neutral oil can be used.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Use fresh garlic cloves for a stronger taste.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt or vegan mayo are excellent alternatives.
  • to taste Salt Season wisely to enhance flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Soak sliced red onion in cold water, then drain.
  2. Simmer blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and salt until boiling.
  3. Whisk cornstarch with water and stir into blueberries until thickened.
  4. Blend jalapeños, basil, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth.
Cooking
  1. Stir blended mixture into mayonnaise and season with salt.
  2. Grill burger patties over medium heat about 5 minutes per side.
Assembly
  1. Assemble burgers by layering arugula, burger patty, blueberry sauce, feta, onion, and jalapeño aioli.

Notes

Serve with sweet potato fries or a salad. For added flavor, drizzle extra blueberry sauce or aioli on top. Warm the brioche buns on the grill.
