Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Steam the broccoli by bringing one inch of water to a boil in a pot with a basket steamer inside. Add the broccoli florets, cover, and steam for 5 minutes until they are bright green but still crisp-tender.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the condensed soup, mayonnaise, and egg until smooth and combined.
- Place the crackers in a small bag or bowl, top with a towel, and crush until they resemble coarse crumbs.
- Combine the steamed broccoli with the mayonnaise mixture and gently stir to combine.
Baking
- Pour the broccoli mixture into a medium casserole dish. Top it with the crushed crackers and shredded cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
- Let it cool slightly and serve.
