Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, cooked rice, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Assembly
  1. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  2. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  3. If using, add breadcrumbs over the cheese for a crunchy topping.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and heated through.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a cheesy crust, add more cheese on top before the final bake. Let it cool slightly before serving, as the flavors meld together.
