Main Ingredients
  • 4 ears Fresh Corn Look for ears that are plump and sweet.
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Adds richness; could substitute with olive oil for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Brightens flavors; cilantro can work if you're feeling adventurous.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Basil Adds an aromatic touch; dried basil can substitute in a pinch, use about a third.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Infuses the dish with depth; shallots can replace garlic for a milder flavor.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt Enhances all the flavors; sea salt is ideal, but table salt works too.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pepper Gives a subtle kick; you can also use cayenne for some heat.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil over high heat.
  2. Add the corn kernels and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender and bright yellow.
  3. Drain the corn and return it to the pot over low heat.
  4. Pour the melted butter over the corn and stir to coat evenly.

  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and fragrant.

Notes

Always taste and adjust seasoning at the end for the best results. Use fresh herbs whenever possible; they make a world of difference.
