  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to mix in other types of cheese for variety.
  • 1 can Cheddar Bay biscuit dough Substitute with any flaky biscuit dough.
  • 1/2 cup milk Non-dairy option: almond or oat milk.
  • 1/2 cup cream of mushroom soup Replace with homemade cream sauce if desired.
  • to taste salt and pepper Try adding herbs for extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used, adjust accordingly.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Finely chopped onion can bring more flavor and texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, then drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, milk, and cream of mushroom soup, mixing well. Let the mixture simmer for a minute.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer the seasoned beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the beef layer.
  6. Cut the Cheddar Bay biscuit dough into pieces and place them on top of the cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For an extra crispy biscuit top, brush the dough pieces with melted butter before baking. You can also add diced bell peppers or spinach for added nutrition. Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
