Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Biscuit Topping
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt for the biscuit topping.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the cheddar cheese.
- Add the milk gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough over the beef mixture, covering it evenly.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve alongside a simple salad for added freshness. Use leftovers for lunch the next day; it’s even better!
