Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the ravioli according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat the broiler on high.
  3. In a large, high-sided, ovenproof skillet, add the olive oil and onion, sauté over medium-high heat for about 3 minutes until softened.
  4. Incorporate the ground beef, crushing and crumbling as it cooks; stir frequently.
  5. Once the beef is cooked, add garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; stir to combine and cook for about 1 minute until garlic is fragrant.
  6. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and cooked ravioli until well mixed.
  7. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan, then broil for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and browned.
  8. Optionally garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best results, use freshly made ravioli. Experiment with different cheeses for delightful flavors. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container and reheat in a microwave or oven.
