Ingredients

Dough and Fillings
  • 1 package Pizza dough Store-bought or homemade works great.
  • 24 slices Pepperoni slices Substitute turkey pepperoni for a healthier option.
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese Try provolone for a sharper taste.
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese Omit if avoiding dairy.
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano Feel free to replace with Italian seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Fresh minced garlic is a great alternative.
Binding Ingredients
  • 1 large Beaten egg Milk can substitute for a vegan option.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to approximately 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into strips about 1-inch wide and 6 inches long.
  3. Place a few pepperoni slices in the center of each dough strip, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  4. Fold each dough strip over the fillings to create pockets and pinch the edges to seal.
  5. Brush each stick with the beaten egg and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and garlic powder.
Cooking
  1. Place the sealed pizza sticks on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  3. Let the sticks cool slightly before serving with pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

For higher crunchiness, let the sticks sit for a minute after baking before cutting. You can also experiment with different fillings such as veggies or other types of cheese.
