Preparation
- Prepare the Cheeto dust by pulsing half a cup of crunchy Cheetos in a food processor until finely ground. Set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F and prepare your baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Dust parchment paper with cornmeal and place the pizza dough on top. Shape it into a thick disc and roll it into a circle.
- Transfer the dough onto the baking sheet or pizza stone using the parchment and remove the top layer of parchment paper.
Assembly
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Evenly distribute the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and then sprinkle with the reserved Cheeto dust.
Baking
- Place the pizza in the oven and bake for about 5-10 minutes, checking every couple of minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- If using, melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and mix in garlic powder.
- Once baked, top the pizza with whole crunchy Cheetos and brush the garlic butter over the crust. Sprinkle additional Cheeto dust on top if desired.
- Cut the pizza into eight slices and serve warm with ranch dressing or a drizzle of hot honey.
Notes
To enhance texture, ensure pizza dough is at room temperature before shaping. Experiment with different toppings such as pepperoni or fresh vegetables!
