Method
 

Preparation

  3. Melt the butter in a baking dish in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.
Batter Assembly
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, milk, and baking powder. Mix until smooth.
  2. Pour the batter into the baking dish over the melted butter without stirring.
  3. Evenly pour the cherry mixture over the batter, allowing it to sit on top.
