- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat until creamy.
- Add mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until completely dissolved, about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Quickly mix in the Rice Krispies cereal and chopped dried cherries, ensuring they are well coated.
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and press the sticky mixture firmly into the dish, smoothing it out with a spatula.
- Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For variations, try adding chocolate chips or other dried fruits.
