Preparation
- Prepare the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water, then set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the Korean chili pepper flakes, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, mirin, and dark soy sauce until well combined.
Cooking
- Heat the peanut oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the ground beef and let it sit for about five minutes without stirring to promote a char.
- Flip the beef and break it up with a spatula, tossing it around.
- Add in the sliced onion, the white parts of the green onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook for another one to two minutes until fragrant.
- Toss the cooked noodles into the wok and stir everything together.
- Pour in the previously prepared sauce and mix well to coat all ingredients.
- Stir-fry everything together for an additional two minutes.
- Turn off the heat, drizzle with sesame oil, and stir again. Serve hot.
Notes
This dish can be easily customized with different proteins and vegetables. Enjoy topped with sesame seeds or sriracha for an extra kick.
