Flavor Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh chives, chopped Can substitute with green onions.
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic powder Fresh minced garlic for a stronger flavor.
  • ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt Adjust to taste; sea salt or table salt can be used.
  • ¼ teaspoon Coarse ground black pepper Consider using white pepper for a milder flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients using an electric mixer, scraping down the sides as needed.
  2. Alternatively, mix with a fork or sturdy spoon if you prefer.
  3. Store in the refrigerator.
  4. Soften for 1 hour at room temperature before using, so the butter is spreadable.

Notes

Avoid using cold butter for best results. Scrape down the bowl to ensure even mixing, and start with less salt, adjusting to taste. Incorporate additional herbs for enhanced flavor. Serve it on grilled meats, pasta, or fresh vegetables. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
