Ingredients

Smoothie Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk Acts as a creamy base; swap for any non-dairy milk of your choice, like oat or coconut.
  • 1 cup frozen cherries Adds natural sweetness and antioxidants; use any frozen berry if cherries aren’t available.
  • 1/2 cup frozen banana Provides creaminess and texture; can be replaced with 1/2 cup avocado for a low-carb option.
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach Loads of nutrients without a strong flavor; you can also use kale or any other leafy green.
  • 30 grams chocolate whey protein Offers a protein boost; feel free to use an unflavored protein powder or a plant-based alternative.
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder Deep chocolate flavor; you can use carob powder for a caffeine-free alternative.
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed For healthy omega-3 fats and fiber; chia seeds can work as a substitute.
  • 1 packet stevia (optional) Adds sweetness without calories; use honey, maple syrup, or coconut sugar to taste, if desired.
  • 1/2 cup ice Enhances the smoothie’s texture; skip if you prefer a creamier consistency.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a high-speed blender, add the almond milk and all other ingredients: frozen cherries, frozen banana, spinach, chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, ground flaxseed, optional sweetener, and ice.
  2. Start blending on a low setting and gradually increase the speed to high.
  3. Blend for about 30 to 60 seconds, until everything is fully combined and silky smooth.
  4. Pour into a glass or two if sharing, and savor each delightful sip.

Notes

Common mistakes to avoid include overloading the blender and not adjusting sweetness. For an extra nutrient boost, add nut butter or Greek yogurt. Freeze leftover smoothie in ice cube trays for future use.
