Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese, butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the cream cheese mixture, blending well until no flour streaks remain.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. Mix semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips for enhanced flavor depth. Ensure to avoid overmixing the dough to keep cookies tender.
