Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and vegetable oil until combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Baking
- Scoop the dough and roll it into balls.
- Coat each ball in powdered sugar.
- Place the sugared dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are slightly firm.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chocolate chips to the dough. Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
