Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and vegetable oil until combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Scoop the dough and roll it into balls.
  2. Coat each ball in powdered sugar.
  3. Place the sugared dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are slightly firm.
  5. Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chocolate chips to the dough. Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
