Method

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Carefully stir in boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, layer the cakes, adding sliced strawberries and whipped cream between and on top of the layers.
  9. Serve and enjoy your Chocolate Strawberry Cake!

Notes

Common mistakes include not checking the freshness of leavening agents and over-mixing the batter. Use room temperature ingredients for optimal mixing. Let the cakes cool completely before layering to prevent melting the whipped cream.
