- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Carefully stir in boiling water until the batter is smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, layer the cakes, adding sliced strawberries and whipped cream between and on top of the layers.
