Ingredients

For the Yogurt Mixture
  • 1.5 cups chopped strawberries Fresh strawberries provide natural sweetness; frozen can also work in a pinch, just thaw and drain excess moisture.
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt A protein-packed base; feel free to substitute with a non-dairy yogurt if preferred.
  • 1 tbsp honey Adds a touch of sweetness; maple syrup can also be used as a substitute for a vegan option.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Enhances the flavor; pure vanilla is recommended.
For the Chocolate Coating
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips For that luscious chocolate coating; dark chocolate can be used for a richer flavor.
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil Helps to smooth the chocolate for easy dipping; can be replaced with vegetable oil if needed.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped strawberries, plain Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is creamy and the strawberries are evenly distributed.
Forming and Freezing Clusters
  1. Drop approximately 2 tablespoons of the yogurt mixture onto a lined baking sheet, shaping them into small clusters.
  2. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and allow the clusters to freeze completely, which typically takes about 60-120 minutes.
Preparing Chocolate Coating
  1. While the clusters are freezing, melt the chocolate by combining chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in intervals, stirring until smooth.
Coating and Final Freezing
  1. Remove the frozen yogurt clusters from the freezer and dip each one into the melted chocolate, ensuring thorough coverage.
  2. Place the chocolate-covered clusters back onto the baking sheet and sprinkle with sea salt if desired. Freeze again for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
Serving
  1. Once the chocolate has set, your delicious Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters are ready to enjoy!

Notes

These clusters are perfect as a standalone snack, dessert for gatherings, or lunchbox treats. Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months, layering parchment paper between to prevent sticking.
