Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter. Mix until fully incorporated and crumbly.
  3. Firmly press the mixture into the bottom of a pie dish to form a solid crust layer.
  4. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Once baked, let it cool.
Filling Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, gently heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat, add the chopped chocolate, and stir until the mixture is smooth and silky.
  3. Blend in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
Assembly
  1. Carefully pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled crust, ensuring even distribution.
  2. Place the pie in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
  3. Once set, slice the pie and serve with a dollop of whipped cream or fresh berries.

Notes

For easy slicing, run a hot knife through the pie before cutting. Chill overnight for enhanced flavor development.
