Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x9-inch pan.
- Prepare the streusel by cutting cold butter into the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly. Chill while you prepare the cake.
Cake Preparation
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and sour cream in thirds, mixing until smooth.
Assembly
- Spread half the batter into the pan and sprinkle half the streusel over it.
- Add the remaining batter and the rest of the streusel on top.
Baking
- Bake for 50–55 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool on a rack. Mix the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the cooled cake.
