Ingredients

For the Dressing
  • 1.5 cups Mayonnaise Forms the creamy base; swap with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
  • 1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar Adds tang; white vinegar works in a pinch.
  • 1 unit Juice of 1 Lemon Brightens the flavors; lime juice can be a substitute.
  • 2 tsp Kosher Salt Enhances overall flavor; avoid using table salt as it’s more concentrated.
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper Provides warmth; consider using a spice blend for extra flavor.
For the Salad
  • 2 bags Coleslaw Mix (16-ounce each) Saves prep time; chop fresh cabbage if desired.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Adds freshness; consider chives for a different flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Dill Key to enhancing flavors; thyme can be used as an alternative.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix, parsley, and fresh dill.
  3. Toss to combine.
  4. Let sit for 15 minutes or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator, mix again, then serve immediately.

Notes

Make it a day ahead to let the flavors develop. Serve it chilled for the best taste experience. Over-tossing can lead to wilting, and not letting it sit may result in a bland dish.
