  • 1 cup Light Corn Syrup Honey can provide a unique flavor alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Zest Lemon zest can work too for a different twist.
  • 1 teaspoon Citric Acid You can use lemon or lime juice as substitutes.
  • 1 pinch Salt Omit if preferred.

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine the orange juice, sugar, corn syrup, orange zest, citric acid, and salt.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and continue cooking until it reaches the soft ball stage (about 240°F or 115°C).
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before pouring it into a greased pan.
  5. Allow the candy to set for several hours or until firm.
  6. Once set, cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

Serve in whimsical wrappers for added charm, perfect for sharing. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. Candy can be frozen for up to three months.
