Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the milk and sugar, and whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, and stir to combine.
- Refrigerate the mixture for at least one hour.
Churning
- Pour the refrigerated mixture into your ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- After approximately 20 minutes, when the mixture is thickening, add the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies.
- Continue to churn for another 5-10 minutes until the ice cream is thick.
Freezing
- Spoon the ice cream into a freezer-safe container with a lid.
- Freeze for at least 2-3 hours until firmly set.
Notes
For even more flavor, add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the mixture. Mix in chopped nuts or candies for added texture. Serve with whipped cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
