Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 oz Cranberries can use fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar can replace with honey for a healthier option
  • 1 cup Water may substitute with orange juice for added flavor
  • 2 ea Jalapeños consider milder pepper varieties if you prefer less heat
  • 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar substitutes can include lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon can omit if preferred
  • 1/4 tsp Salt use sea salt or kosher salt for a nice crunch

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the cranberries and remove any stems.
  2. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped jalapeños, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to jars.
  6. Allow the jam to cool completely before sealing and refrigerating.

Notes

For best results, allow the jam to cool completely before sealing. Experiment with different chili varieties for unique flavor profiles. For a smooth jam, blend the final mixture after cooling.
