- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes on medium speed.
- Slowly add in the powdered sugar while mixing. Continue to beat until fully incorporated, ensuring there are no lumps, which can take another 2-3 minutes.
- Add in the vanilla extract and mix until fully integrated.
- If the frosting is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
- Generously spread the creamy frosting over warm cinnamon rolls.
Notes
Serve immediately for best flavor. For an even richer flavor, substitute half of the powdered sugar with brown sugar. You can also add lemon zest for a refreshing twist.
