Preparation
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat until bubbling but not browning.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until softened, about 5 minutes.
Cooking
- Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer, letting it reduce for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the seafood stock and Old Bay seasoning, stirring to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the crab meat and shrimp, cooking until the shrimp turns pink, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream, and season with salt and pepper to taste, stirring gently for an additional 5 minutes.
Serving
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
