Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- In a shallow bowl, combine grated Parmesan, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and water together until well combined.
- Pat each tilapia fillet dry. Dip each fillet into the egg mixture and then press into the Parmesan mixture to coat both sides thoroughly.
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Cooking
- Place the coated fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer and spray the tops lightly with oil.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fillets are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 145°F).
Serving
- Enjoy immediately with optional lemon wedges and fresh parsley.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for best results.
