Preparation
  1. Thinly slice the cucumbers and transfer them to a salad bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, white vinegar, and salt until thoroughly combined.
  3. Pour the dressing over the sliced cucumbers and gently toss to combine.
  4. Taste and adjust for salt if necessary.
  5. Garnish with cracked black pepper and serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 3 hours.
  6. If serving later, wait to add the dressing until just before serving to keep the cucumbers crispy.
