Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 13×9-inch baking pan.
- Open one can of crescent rolls, lay it flat in the greased pan, and pinch the seams together to create a solid dough base.
- In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth and creamy.
- Evenly spread the cream cheese filling over the base layer of crescent rolls, covering every edge.
- Open the second can of crescent rolls and layer it over the cream cheese filling. Pinch the seams together to seal the filling.
- Lightly beat the egg white and brush it over the top layer of dough for a shiny finish.
Baking
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Let it cool for about 20 minutes. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled Danish before slicing and serving.
Notes
Always keep crescent rolls and cream cheese stocked. For a fruity twist, incorporate berries into the cream cheese mixture. Allow the Danish to cool before glazing. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
