  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh is best.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated Fresh delivers the most flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru Adjust according to heat preference.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar Can be swapped with apple cider vinegar.
For the chicken
  • 1 pound chicken thighs, thinly sliced Thighs provide a juicier texture.
For garnish
  • to taste sesame seeds Optional, for crunch and presentation.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, gochugaru, and rice vinegar to create the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced chicken to the marinade, ensuring it’s well coated. For best results, let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight if possible.
Cooking
  1. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the marinated chicken. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with rice or in lettuce wraps.

Notes

For best results, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes and avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking.
