- Melt butter and chocolate in microwave, stir until smooth.
- Mix in oil, vanilla, and sugar. Add eggs and stir.
- Sift in cocoa, flour, baking powder. Add boiling water, mix smooth.
- Pour into tin and bake 1 hour at 300°F.
- Cool fully, spread ganache over top and sides.
Notes
Use good-quality chocolate for best results. This cake is forgiving and freezes well.
