Ingredients

  • 24 ounces Frozen Ravioli Any variety works well.
  • 24 ounces Marinara Sauce Use store-bought or homemade.
  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese Substitute with cottage cheese if desired.
  • 16 ounces Mozzarella Cheese Try provolone or Italian cheese blend as alternatives.
Optional Additions
  • 1 cup Optional Vegetables (spinach, zucchini, mushrooms) For added flavor and nutrition.
  • 1 pound Italian Sausage Crumbled and cooked, can be omitted for a vegetarian option.
  • to taste Spices (garlic powder, oregano, basil) Season to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add a layer of frozen ravioli on top of the sauce.
  3. Spoon a layer of ricotta cheese over the ravioli.
  4. Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with marinara and mozzarella on top.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
  2. Serve hot with garlic bread, salad, or roasted veggies.

Notes

For extra cheesiness, add an extra layer of mozzarella just before serving. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for up to three months.
